Would you tear down statues of Booker T. Washington?

Do you provide people with the chance to repent, change, and grow?

Malcolm X evolved towards King and King towards X.

If Obama could sing Amazing Grace at Charleston, can we?

I have tried to educate whites about systemic racism and implicit bias for years.

Racial Justice was not Lincoln‘s highest goal, but he did get the 13th amendment passed.

If he reflected today’s values he could have been an excellent abolitionist lawyer, but not president.

I honor and hear your pain. I have not walked your path,I am sorry for the racial hatred you have experienced.

Still, King spoke of a beloved community. I believe that was Lincoln‘s dream too.

Lincoln was assassinated for freeing slaves. We will never know how much more he would have changed.
