Thank you so much for writing this. I waited in a 15 second line to vote in a mostly white suburb of Boston. A family friend waiting 11 hours to vote early in Atlanta. Someone else who is Black reported intimidation and threats of violence as they went to vote.

As people have written elsewhere, a Democratic sweep only opens the door to begin the long and difficult work of repair and healing. The damage that has been done to democratic norms is so deep.
