Thank you so much for sharing your insights. It is funny how much of my own "awakening" or racial issues came from white artists. These would include the British and Irish crowd of U2, Sting, Peter Gabriel. As well as American artists like Bruce Springsteen and others.

The work of Amnesty International, Model United Nations as other groups were crucial for my coming to understand the great human rights issues of the 1980s.

Those issues keep coming back at us. It almost seems like John Lennon and Bob Dylan were way ahead of their times.
