I'm curious about how you would reconcile their vision with the concerns of ecopessimists. If the "American Standard of Living" is already unsustainable due to resource depletion and anthropogenic climate change, how will their suggestions of tripling the population of the country help?

If the reason we cannot go back to the 1950s economy is that we are running out of farmland to turn into suburbs, how can we create more shared opportunities for human thriving?
