Thank you for sharing this important story. As an American I have been trying to convince folks for the last twenty years that excessive meddling in politics is severely damaging to the gospel message. I think it was the Christian Coalition bank in 2002 that said their number 1 legislative priority was making the Bush tax cuts, which disproportionately helped the ultra rich permanent. Maybe it is because they like challenges and want to squeeze the biggest possible camels through the eyes of needles.
