Isn't that a bit of an extreme statement. What about all of those people who read the texts and adopted pacifism. Martin Luther King Jr., Dorothy Day, St. Francis of Assisi, and Bishop Desmond Tutu embraced non-violent activism in solidarity with the poor and oppressed. I don't think they read a mandate for war in the texts.
