Interesting story. As you suggested there are two sides to every case and the lawsuit and articles you cite only contain one.
I might think of the broader question as one of fitting the gospel into a broader cultural context. There is nothing more American than to sue someone else. There was a time when my wife and I attempted to avoid a law suit, but that apparently was an open invitation to the insurance company to ignore our legitimate claims.
It is also worth considering whether this is a "message lawsuit." In other words does bringing the law suit and seeking media attention, does that provide a warning to other school districts to better protect students from bullying.
The last thing I don't understand here is that it took place in Florida. I thought Florida was the place the "woke went to die." Now they are persecuting Christian students for reading the Bible in school. Go figure.
