I’m not sure we need to obsess too much about the electoral tie. I think most people’s views have hardened into concrete. The number on 538 that I watch is the approval rating for Trump. Currently it shows 41.7%. He has been underwater since early in his presidency. He is failing at the economy, Covid-19, and race relations.

The strength of opposition is just too great and his team knows it. That is why he is trying to rig the vote or deligitimize the result.

The choice seems simple; chaos or the Constitution.
