I’m curious, when did Jesus support a larger military budget?

When did he support one political position over another?

When did he equate paying taxes with theft?

Jesus shook people from their comfort zones and called them to love their enemies and turn the other cheek?

He emphasized lives of radical love, forgiveness, and compassion.

He was crucified for defying the combined power of the Sadduccees who ran the temple and the Roman Empire.

I fail to see how the verses you cite as proof texts suggest that Jesus came to take sides in our current political or cultural wars.

Maybe the central idea of Christianity is the laying down of power for the service of others or the “kenosis" or self-emptying described in Phillipians 2.

If we are to live lives of humble service, why would we define people as “unChristian” because they support other means of building a just society?

Please explain, I’m confused by your arguments.
