If I am understanding the article correctly, there may be a way of applying IFS at a societal level. If that were possible, it would be incredibly helpful for getting the disUnited States of America out of its current national psychosis.
My question has to do with the degree that it asks people who have experienced abuse to have empathy for their abusers. From a spiritual perspective forgiveness of others and self is required for healing, it is still a very difficult ask.

Predominantly white activists battling predominantly white paramilitary forces over who is enacting the best strategy for standing up for Black Lives.
Maybe both sides could go home for a while and listen to the voices of activists speaking up for themselves within those communities and discover that all of those "SubCommunities" are plural and have internalized debates about strategies and tactics for moving forward.
Let's not let "white performance activism" be a distraction from the work of justice, reconciliation, and mercy.
