I get the frustration. As president, though, his job was to enforce laws. When the Republicans won back control of congress in 2010 he was politically handcuffed.
His stimulus was huge in 2009 and it worked. I agree it was too small. However, presidents have to work with public opinion and negotiate with congress. Passing Obama care was devastating politically in 2010. Republicans then gerrymandered everywhere they could.
On the voter turnout question he is right. Older people vote much more consistently. Republican leaders have and are making it much more difficult for Black and Brown communities to vote.
That has to stop. It is a fundamental assault on our ideals of democracy, equality and inclusion.
